Slingerland 1970s Chrome over Wood Vintage Drum Kit 3-p Shellpack

Evening, everyone! I had the opportunity to pick up a wonderful vintage drum kit the other week. I disassembled it down to single parts, polished it, added some oil and grease (this is normal procedure, but quite not needed in this particular case – it was already done – but you’ll never know – better safe than sorry). Kudos to the previous owner!

I’m talking about a 1970s Slingerland shellpack with a 24” bass drum, two toms and all in chromed steel over plywood. It is such a show-piece for many occasions, and, dude, what a sound after careful tuning with some new Remo drum heads!

This is jazz. 70ies rock. Blues. Soul.

I will add the kit to the rental catalog in the coming days. Some pictures include a couple of our Zildjian vintage arsenal as well. I had such a blast tonight, jamming with the best 70ies tunes with the complete kit!

Slingerland does not exist anymore, but they made their mark on the 1900s drum scene from Niles, Illinois, USA. We will also add a 1970s Slingerland Timbales set in chrome soon – stay tuned (literally this time! )!
